The world of business forms encompasses a great deal more than invoices, statements, and checks. Almost any highly repetitive paper-based process can be streamlined through the use of forms. Three popular types are discussed below.

Pressure Seal

Pressure seal mailers can remove entire steps from the normal mailing process. After being laser printed, the mailer is printed, folded, sealed, and ready for postage—all in one pass through the pressure seal equipment. This method utilizes a pre-applied cohesive which is activated by pressure during the fold and seal process. The glue, itself, is impervious to heat or water, so there’s no danger of damaging sensitive or costly office equipment.

FSR offers two pressure seal options, both of which are custom-printed to meet your specific needs:

  • Custom Mailers – available in a variety of folds with flexible construction features.
  • Stock Formats – a complete line with fast turnaround times.

Pressure seal forms can save you time and money by eliminating labor-intensive folding, stuffing, and sealing. And since the self-mailer is created from a single cut sheet, you can say goodbye to envelope inventory and waste. Finally, these products meet all postal regulations, allowing you to incorporate automation features to further reduce the costs of document processing and mailing.

Software-Compatible Forms & Checks

FSR features a large selection of checks, invoices, and statements with robust stock designs for the most popular business software packages including Quicken, QuickBooks, Peachtree, and many more.

Are your checks Check 21 Compliant? The Check 21 Act was enacted so that a properly prepared substitute check (in this case, a digital image of the original check) can now be considered the legal equivalent of the original check. This allows banks to cut costs and speed the movement of funds by permitting the transfer of digitally scanned images of checks instead of the actual checks themselves. To comply, checks must meet certain criteria for scanning and saving as small digital images that can be readily transmitted from one financial institution to another.

All banks must have been prepared to accept a substitute check in place of the original after the Act’s effective date of October 28, 2004. FSR can help you redesign your check to ensure compliance under this Act.

Integrated Laser Cards

Simply put, integrated cards reduce labor costs and errors. Incorporating a card into a document eliminates the cost of additional data processing and matching a custom letter to a custom card.

Since integrated labels are not affixed to a carrier, they are typically thinner and do not have a substantial raised edge that hinders imaging and processing. The thinner material also stacks and delivers better than typical affixed products and generally has a higher degree of laser compatibility. They are an excellent choice for almost any printer.

Another benefit from integrated cards is the exact color match from card to carrier since the card is part of the carrier and therefore, printed at the same time.

Integrated cards are more cost-effective than other card types and can be easily combined on the same document with other applications (e.g., card/label, card/coupon, etc.) for streamlined processing, greater handling efficiencies, and increased customer loyalty.
